About Us

 Meet the photographer . . .

The simple essence of nature
is my quest and the camera is my tool.

Dan Harding was a biology and marine biology teacher for 33 years, teaching in the US Virgin Islands, Guam and Ojai, California. His objective is to inspire and educate others about natural communities and environmental sustainability. He enjoys sharing his appreciation for the natural world and finding ways to have a positive effect on marine and terrestrial environments.

Dan started making underwater camera housings when he was 15 years old. His love of the outdoors and especially the ocean resulted in a lifetime career in biological science, oceanography and photography.

Dan's photos have been published in Glimpses of Guam magazine and the Peterson Field Guide: A Field Guide to Coral Reefs of the Caribbean and Florida .

Presently Dan is building under /above water camera housings and traveling thousands miles to seek the views of nature that we do not normally experience. Capturing under/above water images is the driving force of his photography at this time.

If you would like to join me - I'll be floating somewhere between the waterline and the sky, in a spectacular place that has yet to be photographed in this unique way. - Dan Harding, 2006
